Course Approval

The courses currently on offer - Level 2 Counselling Concepts and Level 3 Counselling Skills - have received approval from ABC.

External Moderator

The External Moderator from ABC will be coming to the Centre today in order to assess the Centre's courses for ABC approval to the qualifications.

The bell for room four has been replaced and is working properly again.

Centre Approval

The Centre has received its certificate from ABC.

Introduction to Counselling Concepts Course

The first meeting of the students about to undertake the Introduction to Counselling Concepts Course will be this evening at 6pm.

Maintenance

Please note the bell for room 4 is temporarily out of order. Those therapists using that room will need to make alternative arrangements with their clients for letting them know when they have arrived. It is hoped the issue will be resolved by Wednesday.

Centre Accreditation

We are pleased to announce that following an inspection in December and the submission of all the formal documentation the Centre has received centre accreditation from ABC.

Website

Work is proceeding on the Liverpool Empowerment Centre website and it is aimed to have it up and running by mid-February. Any therapists or trainers using the centre who wish to be individually named and to have their details put on the website should please make those details available to Jo in the form of a brief paragraph.

Procedures Document

The procedures document about making the best use of the centre has been completed and is available to all therapists and trainers working here. If you have not received a copy please let Jo know and she will give you one. The sheet covers use of the alarm system, checking in/out, door bell system, waiting room facilities, kitchen, first aid, fire safety, heating, lighting and contacts.

Please note that there is a separate full fire safety procedure available in each room and this should be read by all therapists and trainers using the facilities.
